I’m pleased to announce that I will be joining the faculty of the Civici Corsi di Jazz in Milan, where I will be teaching jazz drums.
Milan has been an important part of my musical journey from the very beginning, and returning to the city in this new role is particularly meaningful.
Over the years, teaching has become an increasingly important part of my work as a musician. From New York to Beirut, Geneva and beyond, I have had the opportunity to work with musicians from different backgrounds and at different stages of their development. Each experience has shaped the way I approach teaching: with a strong focus on sound, time, musicality, listening and, above all, on developing an individual voice at the instrument.
I’m very happy to bring this experience back to Milan and to become part of the faculty of an institution with such a long-standing role in the Italian jazz scene.
I look forward to this new chapter and to meeting the students in the coming academic year.
