Geneva, Switzerland – Jazz enthusiasts, prepare to be dazzled! On Saturday, November 16th, at 9:00 PM, the legendary Dado Moroni Trio will grace the stage at Sud des Alpes. This special performance marks the 30th anniversary of the Swiss Radio Days collection, a treasure trove of rare and unreleased recordings featuring some of the greatest jazz musicians of all time.
A Journey Through Jazz History The Swiss Radio Days collection has been a labor of love for Peter Schmidlin and Yvan Ischer, who have spent decades curating and preserving these musical gems. The collection began with a historic recording of the Quincy Jones Orchestra in Lausanne in 1960 and has since grown to include performances by countless jazz legends, including Art Blakey, Charles Lloyd, and Count Basie.
Dado Moroni: A Master of the Piano Dado Moroni, a renowned Italian jazz pianist, has been a part of the Swiss Radio Days story since 2009 when he performed at Morges with Reggie Johnson and Peter Schmidlin. Now, he returns to Switzerland to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the collection with a trio featuring the talented Heiri Känzig on double bass and Paolo Orlandi on drums.
A World Premiere This concert offers a unique opportunity to experience jazz history in the making.
